Dariusz Ratajczak was found guilty for denying the Holocaust. |
Dariusz Ratajczak's family identified the decomposed body, which police believe had been in the shopping center's parking for the past two weeks.
The police are investigating CCTV footage but have ruled out murder as no injuries were found during autopsy.
The shopping center's security guards, however, say the historian's car was left at the car park on the day that it was discovered - June 11, the website of News from Poland reported.
The University of Opole suspended Ratajczak from his teachings in 1999 for his claim that the Nazis had no plans for the systematic killing of Jews.
As Holocaust denial is a criminal offence in Poland, he was later put on trial, which led to his conviction.
